Featured Research Submissions

The session will celebrate excellence in research and education with three top research submissions presented alongside three leading Canadian investigators, showcasing their study findings or novel aspects of their trials from a Canadian perspective. To submit you must include a short manuscript (1000 words, including references, plus one page of figures(s)). Abstracts not accepted for the Featured Research Session will undergo general abstract evaluation.

Abstract submissions for the CCC 2017 may relate to one of the following learning tracks:

ASO: Atherosclerosis, Basic Vascular.
CAD General: Chronic Coronary Artery Disease.
CAD ACS & AMI: ACS, AMI, Critical Care for Cardiovascular Diseases.
CSI: Coronary and Structural Intervention, PCI, Interventional procedures.
CONG: Pediatrics and Congenital Heart Disease.
EDUCATION: The process of learning and dissemination of knowledge or skills relevant to cardiovascular sciences.
EP: Electrophysiology, Sudden Cardiac Death, Arrhythmology.
HF: Heart Failure, Heart Function, Cardiomyopathy, Transplant.
HTN: Hypertension.
IMAG: Imaging Techniques, Nuclear Cardiology, MRI, Echo.
POLICY: Quality improvement, healthcare policy and administration related to cardiovascular sciences.
PREV: Prevention.
SURG: Cardiac Surgery and Anesthesia.
VASCULAR: Vascular disease and vascular complications of diabetes and obesity specifically affecting the non-coronary vasculature, such as the cerebral arteries, lower extremity arteries, aorta, or pulmonary arteries.
