Now what?

There are several options for ground travel between the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and the Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) or your hotel, including taxi, public transit and car rental.

Taxi

Travel time between the airport and downtown Vancouver is approximately 30 minutes, and the average fare cost is $28-$33. During rush-hour (07:00 – 09:00 and 15:00 – 18:00) the rate and travel times can be slightly higher (45 minutes and approximately $35-$45).

In addition to providing you with a safe and reliable ride, Vancouver taxi companies ensure all drivers receive extensive training through the award-winning TaxiHost training program. Transit

SkyTrain - Canada Line

Canada Line provides rapid rail service linking the YVR and downtown Vancouver. The Canada Line leaves every seven minutes from the airport, and every four minutes from downtown Vancouver.

  • Airport to Waterfront: First Train - 5:07am; Last Train - 12:56am
  • Waterfront to Airport: First Train – 4:48am; Last Train – 1:05am

You’ll need a Compass Card or Compass Ticket to travel on SkyTrain and SeaBus. FareSavers (no longer sold) and bus transfers are valid on buses only.

A one-way trip from the airport to downtown Vancouver takes only 25 minutes on a two zone adult fare of $4.00, plus the $5.00 Canada Line YVR AddFare*. Disembark at the Waterfront Station. The Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Pacific Rim and the Days Inn Downtown Vancouver are each approximately an eight minute walk from the station, while the Westin Bayshore is a 20-25 minute walk, but only a six minute taxi, and the average cost is $7-$9.

A short walk away from the station, the Expo Line provides rapid rail service linking the Vancouver Pacific Central Train Station to downtown Vancouver, beginning at Main Street-Science World Station. Sky Trains leave every seven minutes from the train station, and every four minutes from downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver Convention Centre

The 2017 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, located at 1055 Canada Place.

Impark Parking:

Enter off of Canada Place, half a block west of the Burrard Street intersection on the right-hand side.
Enter the Convention Centre through the doors adjacent the pay stations.
The Information Desk is directly ahead as you enter the Burrard Street Lobby.

  • For Level 1, including the 100 series Meeting Rooms and Ballrooms (Community Forum), take the elevators, stairs or escalators from the Burrard Street Lobby.
  • For Level 2 and the 200 series Meeting Rooms, take the elevators from the Burrard Street Lobby.
  • For Level 3 and the 300 series Meeting Rooms, take the elevators to Level 2. At Level 2, proceed along the east pre-function space (with views of Canada Place) and take the mid-corridor elevator to Level 3 or the escalators at the end of the corridor.
